Ebored

I'm bored, and I don't mean in the usual sense of having little to nothing to keep me entertained. Every day is the same as the last, to a certain extent. I do the same thing every day at work, then I come home to the same house and sit around doing pretty much nothing. Routine sucks. Only 9 weeks and 3 days to go, though, and then I am FREE! I also got my Ebow today, it's amazing. Basically makes guitar strings hum using magnets and the like, sounds really good. Perhaps not worth £65 yet, but if/when I get good, it might turn out to be. It's good fun anyways, and it doesn't look like I'm getting a Wii anytime soon, so why not.
Vista is crap. So many bugs. I have an XP disc now, so I think I shall roll back. Waste of £70 getting Vista, though. Perhaps I'll use it one day. I should roll back tonight while I have nothing to do. But it is even more boring than browsing the net aimlessly. Maybe I should do it...
Hmm.

If you're gonna complain about ennui you might as well moan with the excellent poncey word rather than boring bored.

"not worth £65 yet, but if/when I get good, it might turn out to be". I promise you it won't, you shoulda just held out for a Wii. Post-rock is wanky rubbish, and the stupidest sounding of the post- genres, possibly behind only emo, urban and indie in terms of really silly names to describe music.

Everyone should have already seen this: http://www2.b3ta.com/host/creative/2995/1175789746.jpg

Macs have motion sensors in them so if you like you can download something called "macsaber" and make Star Wars noises while waving your computer around like a 5 year old. Best thing i've ever seen anyone do with a mac.

£830. Yikes. What's the spec? Do you play games? Don't spend that cheque too fast.

Hmm, Vista. Dell and others are starting to offer XP again, which didn't happen with previous transitions. And a few websites still have computers in stock with XP on them. I bought a laptop for my Grandma last week which had Vista Home Basic. Preinstalled, so there weren't any problems. It took a small bit of getting used to (things in different places). I would have preferred XP Pro, because it wouldn't use up as much of the laptop's resources. I don't see any reason to upgrade to Vista Home Basic, considering that one can get XP Media Center for £70 (and not an upgrade).

I'd like to see more little features, like improved notepad, improved PowerToys Calculator included as standard, "Open Command Window here", universal Macros...

I do like Office 2007, however. The interface has been thought about carefully, and is faster to use.
