Everyone has been slamming Jonathon Ross for saying "She's a fucking liar. We'll find out she's got two legs next!" about Mrs. what's-her-face McCartney (she lost a leg in some sort of horrible accident).
I haven't read a single reporting of this without attention being drawn to Jonathon Ross' speech impediment.
Dickheads who don't even realise what fucked up hypocrites they are being piss me the fuck off. In fact, pro-political-correctness(-gone-mad) people piss me the fuck off.
Sure, a leg injury is worse than a speech impediment, but it's pathetic when people can't laugh about themselves. What does being offended achieve? Sometimes you can't help it, I s'pose. But have a sense of humour.
Rise Against may not have had the desired reaction...

Survive is pretty much my favourite song ever.
I hadn't heard about the Ross thing til i read this, but the frst 4 news stories i found about it didn't mention his speech impediment at all. Also most news sources at least pretend to have a neutral stance on all stories, even if Ross was condemned in some usually it will be in quotes from some guy from a ,so In most cases mentioning his speech will just be a way to distinguish that he's that Jonathon Ross; it isn't beyond the realms of possibility that someone reading a news article about him will have no idea who he is until they read that description.
The non-neutral reports i did find were mostly behind Jonny boy, even if they did quote someone saying it was unacceptable.
If you've found a mainstream/credible/whatever report which reads anything like "JR called wosserface a fucking liar and made fun of her leg, the twatty speech impeded r-tard" then you complaint stands.
At any given point in time your mental state guarantees wether you're going to be offended or not. Anyone who is offended by anything is an idiot, but attitudes can't be changed instantly by will.
That was way more fun than the philosophy essay i should have started a long time ago.
